Non-alcoholic drinks: investigation into an “exponential” business
The alcohol-free market is attracting, questioning and seducing consumers, which is why L’EXPRESS has devoted an entire article to the alcohol-free business.
France is the country with the highest number of new consumers of alcohol-free drinks, with an increase of 25% over 2022. Major brands such as Pernod Ricard and Kronenbourg, as well as small producers, are riding the wave.
Mathilde Boulachin, CEO of Chavin, was interviewed on the subject. Having been a pioneer in the field for over 10 years, when it was still only a niche market, Mathilde answered Céline Delbecque’s questions.
The alcohol-free wine market is also “constantly growing”, according to Mathilde Boulachin, founder of Maison Chavin, which was set up in 2010 and has been offering alcohol-free wine for thirteen years. “We started out with 5,000 euros in our pockets, and today our turnover exceeds 12 million euros, 50% of which comes from alcohol-free products,” she explains.
